"Boy...I've got this thing down..."

"Mommy and Daddy told Aunt Celia that we're trying not to let me get too used to sleeping with somebody, but it sure is fun to snuggle up and snooze with aunt celia on the couch..."

"Here's another picture of me with crazy aunt celia where crazy aunt celia is actually wearing her crazy aunt Sue's swimming suit from a long time ago! Crazy!"

"My aunt Celia came to stay with us this week. She's helped Mommy and Daddy in all sorts of ways. Daddy keeps calling her "Crazy Aunt Celia", and I'm not really sure what that means, but I'm pretty sure he means it in a good way. Anyway, all I care about is the fact that Crazy Aunt Celia obviously thinks I'm the coolest and I hope that she comes to visit me all the time."

the many faces of sleep...

One day last week, Mommy took me for a walk at Lake Fayetteville. At the end of the day and even the next day, Mommy said that she was really tired and the trip wore her out. I don't know why. I found it very restful...

"This was the first day that Mommy and Daddy took me to church. Actually, Mommy took me to church and we got there and Daddy was already there! I don't know, but Daddy's eyes look weird in the this picture..."

Dad's first bottle.

"Mom's been breast feeding, so Dad's duties have mostly been burping and diaper changes. Tonight, we tried something new. Mommy pumped so Daddy and I could get to know each other a little better..."

"Wow! Did you see that?!??"

"Now this is what 'tummy time' is supposed to look like! ...sorta..."

"After GramB came to visit and help out, Grandma came for a whole week. We had fun! Thanks for coming to help, Grandma!"

"This isn't exactly what I thought "tummy time" was supposed to be about, but daddy's tummy is much more fun than mine..."

Ivy doesn't do this, we just happened to catch her finding her fingers when we weren't fast enough witht he nook. The funny thing is that my sister, Celia, sucked those same two fingers for a long time when she was little.

5 fingers & 10 toes! (Don't worry, I've got five more fingers on my other hand...)

Holly & Ivy all decked out for adventure out on the town.

Our little pink papoose.

After a long, hard day of moving pianos (hence the shirt), Daddy likes to demonstrate the "monkey grip" we learned from the lactation consultant in the hospital. (We don't really know what it's actually called, but we like to call it "monkey grip")

Mmmmmm...Boppy...

Ivy's first sponge bath at home. She's not too sure what to think of it, but she did really well and didn't even cry at all.
Picture Problem Solved!

So, I called the hospital the other day to ask about Lost & Found, and whoever I talked to said that our battery/charger hadn't been turned in.

Well, today I went to the hospital to the nurse's station right outside the room we were in for 4 days. I started describing the battery/charger and while I was talking she started rummaging around on her desk and said, "Well, it was right here..."

And there it was! Yay!!

More pics will be on the way. Happy Mother's Day!

Picture Problem

Ok, I know that there are some out there who can't wait for more pics of Ivy. Unfortunately, somewhere between the hospital and our house, I can't find the extra battery pack and charger for our camera. Consequently, I can't take any more pictures until I 1)Find those two things 2) Go buy new battery and charger. I called the hospital to see if they had been turned into lost and found because we left them in our room, but they hadn't been.

Will post more pics when this is resolved.

We went to Ivy's first pediatrician appointment on Wednesday. They decided that she's jaundiced enough that they ordered this "billi-blanket" which is just a little pad with fiber optics that we've been keeping her on. We've been calling her our little glow worm.

Grandma time is good time...

Many people have asked me how I'm doing and what it feels like to be a Dad...can you say this in 1000 words?
