In P.E. she is awesome. At the elementary level we give them grades based on Class participation and informal assessments on how they perform certain skills that have been taught. Most students at her age tend to do well in P.E. because its a class most students love and she is no exception. She is ALWAYS involved with class, whether it be listening to instruction, asking/answering questions during discussion or participating in skill practice. Neither myself or Coach Anderson has ever had to say her name, unless she is receiving a compliment.
She gives her best effort without complaining, follows directions and rules better than any child here at Tyson, as well as helps others who don't understand or who struggle with what is being taught.
Ivy is a joy to have in class! She is very artistic and willing to try new art projects.
The main program that's used for 1st grade in the computer lab is called....."Help Me 2 Learn". She has already completed Phonics 1a and has moved on to Phonics 1b and she's not far from finishing that too. She only has five more lessons left in Phonics 1b. Ivy is doing awesome and isn't showing signs of struggling with anything. She seems to breeze right through from lesson to lesson. Out of a total of 45 lessons so far she has almost all Gold Stars for each lesson except for maybe 5 Silver Stars. That is super great. What a joy she is and such a happy little child.
Ivy is doing very well in first grade music classes. Her participation is great. Ivy listens well and follows my directions well.
