There's something about this hat that makes me act like a hillbilly. It kind of looks like I'm licking the snot off of my upper lip in this first picture, but I'm not. Seriously.

I didn't want to wear this hat on Thursday but Mom said it would help keep the sun off my face. Whatever.

Today I went to my first wedding. I wore a fancy dress. Mommy even put a hair clip in my hair. It wouldn't stay for very long but it stayed longer than Mom thought it would.

That cute boy Ethan was there & so was chubby cheeks Elisabeth. Mommy took pics of me of course, she takes that camera EVERYWHERE, so I'll be posting those soon.

Mommy says my Aunt bob and tevie will be at church in the morning & that makes me happy, I missed them last Sunday.

Silly

My Debra recently told my Daddy that she thinks I'm starting to get silly. He said she's right, I am. So here I am sitting silly.

I am getting old

Today is my 11 month birthday. Crazy huh? Mommy and Amy took a walk with me and Olivia today. So we stopped to take my 11 month photo. Amy is good cuz she makes me smile & Mommy has a hard time just getting me to look up, let alone smile.

Mommy is proud of all of my accomplishments. I have done a lot in 11 months. I sleep in my own bed, I usually go to sleep on my own, I pull up on things, I crawl. I laugh. I eat. I play all by myself. And my separation anxiety is long gone. I still have a lot to learn and I think it will all be fun!

I have a friend and his name is Sam. Sam is a very good dancer. Here is his "ivy blog" debut as he dances to classic rock on his Grandpa's boat. I'm gonna sign up to take dancing lessons from him.

New stuff #16 is this computer! The keyboard is lots of fun but when you hit the keyboard with the black mouse...it's funner.

New word

I am learning a new word. I like words. I like "duct", "doge", "dad". I don't like the new word. Mommy was trying not to use it cuz she wanted to explain things to me. Then she read that keeping it simple will help me understand faster. Later, she can explain & I'll understand.

In this first picture I am sitting between two things on the wall. I like them. One is the battery recharger for the camera. I was pulling it and Mommy would pull my hand away and say, "no". I got tired of that.

So, I noticed that to my right was something else that looked like fun. I kept touching it and twisting it and Mom would say, "no" and pull my hand away. In this second picture I'm taunting Mom, "I'm not touching it".

Finally, I kept trying to play with it & Mommy kept saying "no" and it made me mad so I cried.

New stuff #15 is the trash can. Mommy says it's yuckky so I left it alone.

Baby in the oven

Mommy spends a lot of time in the kitchen. And all my life I thought she was working & slaving in there. I just discovered that she's been in there PLAYING WITH BIG TOYS! Seriously. I just discovered this one. New Stuff #14 is called a dishwasher. It is cool. If you bang on it, it makes noise. I also discovered that if you're standing right where I am in this picture you can see a baby in the oven. Really! Mom says it's just my reflection on the oven door but what does she know?

Mommy is constantly playing. There's this one game she plays with our clothes. She puts them in this thing I'm showing you. It has wheels. She pushes it (way fun) to a big machine. She puts our clothes in the big machine, puts some liquid stuff in it, closes it, plays with the knobs then walks away.

Eventually all those clothes end up back in our drawers & closets.

These big logs are what my Daddy throws knives at. Don't worry, he didn't have any when I was standing in front of it. Mommy wanted you to see my cool guitar shirt...but you can't see it. Mr. Sun was too bright. Maybe next time.

Look how tall I am!

I went to swimming class for the last time on Friday and you know what we did? We went down the very big slide. Mom wasn't sure about taking me down so the teacher, Jennifer did. It wasn't much different than a car ride.

Mommy said I did great in all the swim classes & she hopes I always like the water so much. I'm thinking if you give me a floaty toy, I'll be just fine!

Birthday

Phew! What stinks?!

Now that I have your attention, let's talk birthday. I'm having parties & you're suppose to come.

My NWA party will be April 21, probably right after lunch. So, if you read this and live near by you can come! More details later but for now, PUT IT ON YOUR CALENDAR!

My Birthday with my family...(both g-mas & aunts & uncles) will be April 28.

I can't sit still

I can't sit still anymore. I have been able to crawl for a long time now but it was just recently that I realized I could actually GO places, not just crawl, get a toy and stay put. I can pull up on anything now. I can then cruise around everything.

I decided to try it in the tub too cuz I have things to do. Daddy doesn't like it very much when I do this cuz he wants me to stay in the water. He says I have to be super careful if I'm standing in the tub. I think it's pretty cool that I'm so strong.

Scary

Some things in this life are pretty scary. Take this gadget here as an example. It's "scary thing" #1: the blender, it's way too loud. I didn't mind touching it until Mom would press a button & it would go berserk. It made me cling to her.

Pretty in plaid

See my pretty dress I wore on Sunday? My Mommy loves it on me. It's from my crazy aunt celia. It has her logo on it & everything. It also says "wa wa" which means something in Peru. But I've never been there so how am I suppose to know what it means. What does it mean CAC?

New chewies

The last time Nana was here she brought me some new chewing things. Mom says that's not what they are for but that's the first thing I did as soon as she got one on. Cool huh?

Mommy also says she thinks this first picture looks just like Daddy in his kid pictures.

Libraries

Libraries are way cool. I spent about 3 hours this past week in two of them. I go to Springdale on Wednesdays and go to the Fayetteville one on Monday or Thursday. We sing songs, move our hands, read, play, crawl, and and and! This week there was only me and one boy named Parker on Wednesday. We had fun smiling at each other. I crawled a lot. After singing and rhyme time was over I played with Miss Trudy's stuffed animals. I really liked her turtle puppet.

I was busy but Parker kept bringing me movies. Him Mom came and took them back. Then Parker gave me big honkin' puzzle pieces that had a knob on them. They were fun cuz I could have one piece in each hand, hit them together, and make a loud noise. I played like this for a very long time.

Finally Mommy took me to a really short table that is fun to stand next to. That's where the puzzles were. I really liked these kind. I played there for about 30 minutes & I was really loud. When you're 10 months old you don't get in trouble for being loud there. I kept saying "duct" over and over. Mommy thought I was saying "duck" cuz it was a duck puzzle piece, but she wasn't sure. Then a 16 month old boy came over and was looking out the window. He said, "duct" cuz there was a duck outside. My Mommy smiled cuz now she was sure I was saying "duck". The boy's Mommy said I was smart.

There were tons and tons and tons of people at the Fayetteville library. Since I took Daddy to the Springdale library I took him to this one too. When we got there we sat next to Amy & Olivia. Then I just took off crawling. It was like I didn't even come with my parents. When it was time to start Daddy came and got me. We had lots of fun doing rhymes and songs. Daddy needed to look around when it was over so Mommy took me to the cool kid's section. I played with a big puzzle like I found at the other library. Mommy videoed it and will be uploading it soon.

Libraries are cool.

Aunt Bob

My Aunt Bob loves me (her REAL name is shelly). She emailed my Mommy today saying she was so sad cuz she couldn't see my pictures on my blog. My Mom fixed the problem. Yay for Aunt Bob & Mommy. If there are more pictures you can't see A.B., let Mom know and she'll get on that pronto!

Speaking of pictures...if you double click this one & look at it real big you can FINALLY see my two teeth (and some drool)!

It's beautiful weather and Mom and I have been walking with friends in parks a lot. She makes me wear this hat a lot cuz it has a good brim to keep me from the sun. I think my Mommy needs one too.

"new stuff" #11 & #12: I struck gold. Gold I tell ya! I discovered Daddy's favorite movies & one of Mom's favorite CDs. They're right here together. Mommy didn't tell Daddy about the movies. Shhhhh!
