Roseola

That's what's causing me to feel funky. Dr. Jackson said so. I have not had a fever today but have been pretty vocal about being irritable.

When Daddy took my clothes off to weigh me at the Doc's office he noticed I had a light rash.

When Doctor Jackson came in, he asked very few questions then said, "Here's what I've been seeing. Kids are getting semi-high fevers for about 3 days and just not feeling real well. Then they have a day where the fever breaks and they are extremely irritable. And usually on that same day they develop a rash."

Daddy & Mommy almost laughed cuz he described me to a "T". He said I have roseloa. It's actually not a very big deal and there's no way to treat it except to try & treat my symptoms with some benadryl & ibuprofen or tylenol. I like that cuz both of those taste very yummy.

So, we are looking forward to tomorrow cuz I will feel better.

STILL sick

Yep, I'm still sick. I had a fever all weekend. Mommy says that's just too long to have one. She doesn't think I have one today but I'm grouchy & my eyes will tell you that I still don't feel right.


So, I'm going to see Dr. Jackson this afternoon. Mommy says we will at least know if my ears are bothering me or not. I'm kind of whiny. I'm needy. I kind of want to be held but I'm happiest watching a movie and occasionally playing with a toy by myself.

I'm living on Tylenol which helps me feel better & means I smile on occasion. We all hope I'm back to my silly self soon.

sick

I am sick today. I had a fever last night and another one again this morning. Then when I woke up from my nap I had ANOTHER one. I don't know how you get ahold of fevers but I don't like them. We didn't get to go swimming today. I just stayed inside the whole day. Mommy says I may not get to go to church tomorrow which will make my 3rd Sunday in a row. No one will remember me if I don't go.

Nana and Grampy Vern are coming tomorrow though. Mommy & Daddy are going somewhere for a whole night without me. So I get to have company while they are gone. It will be fun.

mess-maker

Mom's been needing some help around here (I'm a bit of a mess maker). Last week I found where she keeps the little broom & I keep going back to get it. Mommy says she thinks I need one that's more my size cuz this one is still too big and she says it's too gross to be this close to my face.

Jump thing

This big thing is some thing we have in our back yard. It's called a jump thing. Daddy was trying to teach me to jump. I already jump though. I just move my knees & I call that jumping. I wasn't real sure if I liked this outside jump thing or not.

Swimming is fun. I like it. We might get to go swimming in a big pool tomorrow!

special treat

Mommy doesn't usually let me eat in the living room, especially while I watch tv. But she let me this day. I got to sit in my chair (with the legs on it!), watch a Sesame Street video, and eat toast!

Ball game food

Here I am at my first softball game again. My friend Sam thought it would be fun to feed me. I thought it was fun too. And Sam's sister Elisabeth liked watching us.

Alaska friends

These are my new friends & they are from Alaska. My Opa brought them to me. I love them. And I do not play with them separately cuz they MUST stay together.

Full weekend

I have had a very big and full weekend. It all started Friday night. My Oma & Opa came over (YES! I found my Opa, he was at the airport, that silly guy!). My Mommy and Daddy left for a little while. When I woke up Saturday my Aunt Celia was here. Once I finally woke up I crawled in her lap and gave her a hug. Then I did it again. I missed her.

Saturday around noon I went to my Brian & Debra's to play. When Mom got there she saw that I was stealing some of Brian's swiss cake roll. I stayed up real late Saturday night cuz I was waiting for Dad and everyone to get home. When they got home Daddy put me to bed so I don't know what I was waiting for.

This morning my Aunt Celia got up with me while Mommy & Daddy slept a little bit longer. I watched Celia make breakfast. Celia's friend Melinda let me put clementines in her mouth. It was very fun. Then everyone left again and Mom and I stayed home and played.

When I woke up from my afternoon nap Daddy & Celia came to get me. I chose Celia. I gave her a very big hug then a kiss. Daddy was jealous so I gave him one too.

Mom took me to my aunt bob & stevie's house and my friend Tanner was there. Mom was only gone for about an hour. When she came to get me I was eating a chocolate chip cookie...yummmy. aunt bob makes the best. I had choc. on my face too so there was no way to hide what I'd been doing. Mommy said the grill smelt good so we stayed for dinner. I was pretty busy walking around and talking so I didn't really sit and eat much. I did eat some ice cream later.

When we got home I was very tired. Mommy let me sit and watch a great Sesame Street video Daddy picked up from the library for me while she watered the plants. Mommy let me watch the whole thing & even put my PJs on in front of the TV. She watched some of it with me and I liked that. Here's a picture of me watching. I have carried this elmo around for two days saying, "ahhh, baby". Then I give him to Mom so she can give him love too.

Mommy says Celia will be here in the morning again. Yippee!

My Crazy Aunt Celia is here! But I haven't seen her since breakfast. She is with Daddy and her band at the studio making music.
