Look at me! Mom got me this shirt in honor of Petey, the wonder weinerhound. I didn't ever get to meet him. When she bought it at Old Navy there was a girl there with a weiner dog so she got to pet him.

Since My Nana's birthday is today, my dad and my silly aunt celia (SAC) planned a surprise. We got to my Nana's Thursday night after we met SAC and uncle mike (UM) at a gas station. After SAC said hi to me I cried the whole rest of the 7 miles. Then I cried when we got outside to Nana's. Mom thought I might wake up the neighbors I was so loud. We had so much fun & stayed til Saturday night. That's why I haven't blogged, I couldn't ruin the surprise and tell you I was skipping town now could I?

As revealed above, I'm learning to walk with a little bit of help. Sometimes all I want to do is be on these awesome strong legs of mine.

Laundry Day

On laundry day Mommy needed some extra hands. It was time to put the clothes from the washer into the dryer. So, I ended up in the new play pen (otherwise known as the laundry basket). I liked it at first, I just sat there & looked around. Mommy tossed in a new sippy cup for a toy. You can tell by my last picture that she put me in with the DIRTY CLOTHES! Shame on Mommy!

A man from my church took these great photos of me. His name is Brian Meredith. I was tired by the time we got there & didn't have very many smiles but he still did a great job & so did I.

Here I am with my wonderful Mommy. If you look real close (double click on the picture) you'll see two things.

2) Mommy has cool band-aids on her face

She only has to wear them for 4 more days. And soon we get to go back to that medical office & I get to woo them again.

When Daddy left to go record today I was up, had already eaten breakfast & was dressed. When he told me goodbye, I reached for him. That makes him sad to leave me.

I was up at 7:30 this morning, early for me. Mom fed me and dressed me. I ate some peaches and rice cereal while Mom ate hers. Yesterday she gave me some puffs. I think they feel funny. Mommy says I certainly look funny when I try to eat them. She also gave me some spaghetti noodles last night. Do you know how to eat them without teeth? Me either.

I was tired by 8:30 so she laid me down. When Mommyw as ready to leave for baby bookworms at 9:15, I was concked out, completely. She put my shoes on me & unwrapped me. I stretched and stayed asleep. Mommy put me in my car seat anyway. I played with Yoda the whole way there. I was so glad she woke me up cuz I had a good time at worms. It wasn't as much fun without Olivia but I met a girl named Lillie (she's tall and can use her legs & feet to walk). Her Mommy read a book to us when the singing was over.

I slept the whole way home & stayed a sleep til lunch time.

"new stuff" #4. As I was "stolling" around in Mom's bathroom the other day I found a new tag! I really really really like tags. I like touching them a lot. This tag is big.

Earlier today I had some cereal when Mom had some. Mommy gave me some o's while she was fixing her cereal. When she sat down she asked me where all my o's went cuz I still had my pacifier in my mouth. I just gave her an innocent look then looked at my cereal & applesauce cuz I wanted it. After I finished, Mom got up and brought something new out. It had a long stick & she was wiping in on the floor. I watched her diligently. All my o's from today & yesterday were in a pile with a bunch of dirt. I watched her use the stick to put it all on a flat thing with a handle. She picked it up & I never saw those o's again. Mom says she was "sweeping". She said I'd get to do plenty of it as soon as I was able. I don't really know what she means.

Here's pictures of Mommy and me trading kisses. I've had kind of a weird week. I'm still miss grouchy pants with nothing poking out of my gums. So what's the matter with me?

I've been learning to play in my crib. Mommy is hoping that if I learn that my crib can be fun, I won't wake up so stinking mad all the time. I think it's slowly working. But I'm not in a napping mood lately. Just don't care for it like I use to. That frustrates Mommy cuz I'm so stinking tired.

We were suppose to go to Lap & Sit at the Springdale Library but I woke up extra early again this morning to eat. Mommy gave me half of my breakfast we slept til 9:15. Lap & Sit started at 9:30. Maybe next week. Then we were gonna have lunch with Mommy's former co-worker Julie but she has the flu. Then Mommy was gonna take me grocery shopping but I was too pooped...I took a nap (super short one) then laid in my crib and played. Aunt bob was gonna come see me this week & love on me but she got sick. Oma and Opa came and played with me last night though. It was fun. They read me a book & I talked to them.

Monday night we had lots of people over here. Olivia was here. And a new friend, she's very little, was here too. I got super tired & cranky. Abby wasn't happy. And Olivia did pretty darn good. It was kind of crazy.

Tomorrow we ARE going to baby bookworms cuz I've missed it. Mommy signed me up for a water class. That starts next month. I hope I get to go with Olivia! That will make it more fun.

"New Stuff" #3: Heater. I've never noticed this thing before. It's in my Mommy's bathroom cuz it's freezin in there. It moves back and forth and blows air. When Mommy saw that I was interested in it, she turned it off. She says I can not play with it. Ever. That's okay cuz there's LOTS of stuff I CAN play with.

My friend Ethan beat me at getting teeth! He's 3 months younger than me, has 2 teeth and weighs .5 pounds less than me. It was inevitable that he'd be bigger than me cuz he's a boy, but geez, he didn't even give me a chance! And my friend Elisabeth, she's 7 months younger, and I think she's less than 5 pounds away from me! Of course, she's got 2 pounds in her cheeks alone. I smiled at her today. Mommy said we'd be friends for probably a long time.

I fell asleep on my friend Kendra at church today. Remember her? She was at the hospital while I was being born cuz she's a professional. I didn't nap for long though. Mommy said she loves it when I stay in big church for the music. I get to cuddle with other people while Mommy and Daddy do music. I try to last the whole time but it's dark there. And the music gets slow. And before I know it I'm dreaming.

I know, you're wondering how I feel today. Pretty good I guess. I took a short nap this morning. I played in my exersaucer for nearly an hour & was fine until I sensed my Mommy was in the room. Then I lost it. I've eaten pretty well today. Mom and I finally got out of the house. I haven't left since Monday, Mom either. We went to Wal-Mart. I took a little nap while we were there. I talked the rest of the time. I was tired when we got back. Mom tried to lay me down but I didn't want to. She fed me again and by the time Daddy got home I was nearly asleep playing. So he put me in my crib and I napped. Mommy is leaning more toward teething as my problem. She says if she doesn't see a tooth by Monday & I'm still acting funky, she'll take me back to the clinic. That way she can have someone look at my ears again. Mom says my cry sounds kind of like a scream which makes her think I'm in pain. Mom's going to dinner with some women so I think I get some quality Dad time tonight. Yahoo!

Last Sunday the weather was frightful. So I got to stay home, I gave the sermon. I stayed in my pjs ALL day.

I think this is what Uncle James meant by our living room is "grab city". Here's "new stuff" #1. They are called CDs and they play music. I'm thinking they might be yummy once they are microwaved.

I missed baby bookworms today. I was up at 6:30 ish REALLY mad. Mommy said it sounded like pain. Now she's wondering if I'm teething. She says if that's the case she doesn't need to keep me from other kids. But she didn't think about that until later this morning. Daddy got up with me but all I wanted was Mommy. So Mommy held me & I got quiet. For a minute. Then she gave me some teething pills that dissolve in my mouth. She gave me some milk. She loved on me. Daddy found a place to work today at a school he's wanted to get into so he went ahead and got ready for work after he gave me some tylenol. I calmed down and Mommy took me into her bed. I sat there for a little while looking around. Slowly my parents turned off all the lights & I got sleepy and laid down with Mommy. We both fell asleep til 9:30. Mommy said it was not a big deal that we missed the library today cuz she's sure they'll do the same songs next week. She's probably right.

So, before my Mommy ate breakfast she put me on the floor. She got some short vidoes that she's uploading right now. They're not as good as my performance yesterday but at least you'll be able to see what I can do. It's not really a scoot, it's more like a creep. Mommy says it's kind of funny to put the words "ivy" and "creeping" next to each other. Daddy says my creeping is not graceful...yet. It helps if you breathe hard and grunt a little.

I found some new stuff last night while I was doing this creeping around. I'll show ya later.

The video of me scooting is too large to use at you tube...by just a hair so I'll see what my parents can do. In the meantime, look at this video. Remember how I told you I can figure out a way to play with anything? Here's more proof.

You might be wondering how I'm feeling today. I'm better but not normal. I had a great morning earlier today but now I don't feel so good. Thank heavens for Baby Einstein. I get to watch the one about body parts today. This morning I had breakfast in bed with Mommy. I eat better that way. Mommy said she would too if she got to have breakfast in bed. Then I played in her bed. I played with my pj feet, my hands, Mommy's hands. We finally got up and Mommy had a bowl of cheerios & she gave me some. I used the big table instead of my tray & I liked it much better. I actually got a few of those little round suckers in my mouth. See, I can get them to my mouth, but I don't always let go of them until they are out of my mouth again. Mom says I'll get better at it.

After we ate our cheerios I played on the floor. Wanna know a secret? I can scoot! Mommy took a good video of it. But she's waiting on a call from my crazy aunt celia cuz she knows of a better program than utube. I promise I won't wait too long. I'll use utube if I have to. Anyway, I tried to take a nap but I woke up mmaaaddddd! So now I'm gonna hang in front of a dvd while my tylenol kicks in.

Did you know you can use the crib for teething relief? Just a tip I figured out & I thought I'd share with all the kiddos out there!

My church is a small church. But last year 7 babies from this place entered the world! I was number 2 in 2006. A few Sundays ago we had a baby dedication. Mr. Jeff talked a little bit & prayed for my Mommy and Daddy and for us babies. It was nice. I had been completely asleep on Aunt Bob, next to my tevie, right before this so I was pretty out of it....just snuggling on Dad.

My Mommy's friend Lisa had a little girl named Elisabeth. When Ellie was still in Lisa's tummy she said she couldn't wait til she could put her little girl in fun tights. I can see why. Funky tights rock! I have lots more...even some tie dye ones. But I've got to grow grow grow to get into those before it gets hot.

This is me and my Uncle James on New Years eve. I had a big night. First we went to a party at the church, that's where this picture was taken. We were playing 80s Trivial Pursuit. I did a great job. I spent a lot of time talking to my friend Ethan. We don't get to spent much time getting to know each other so this was the perfect opportunity. He's really cute (even if he had some carrot in his eye). Someone gave me some purple beads too. When we rang in the New Year at 9, everyone blew loud horns. I didn't like it at all and I cried. Then we went to Uncle James' and Aunt Melissa's house. My friend Cara was there too. Everyone else ate some more food and watched a movie. I did too. The movie part anyway. I stayed up til midnight! I did all kinds of things to stay awake. Mommy was hiding from me. Cuz when I'm super tired and I see her, I kind of lose it a little. It was a great night.

Here I am taking a bath in my cool new tub. It's from my Grandma. It's so great. I can totally hang out in it & enjoy the experience but I can also play in it. See that duck on the side? It sqeeks! See the duck in my hand? I love him! In this picture Daddy is showing off my "washcloth blanket". It keeps me warm while I hang out and play. Daddy likes giving me baths. I think he can't wait til I can splash & make a mess.

An update on my health....I took a long afternoon nap. Mom got some paperwork done and a shower...yay for her. I drank plenty of milk tonight but Mommy also tried to feed me peas. I normally like them, I wasn't interested tonight. I sat on the couch with both of my parents tonight. But mostly with Mommy. I didn't play, except with the thermometers. I just wanted to hang next to them & snuggle. They liked it a lot. Daddy gave me more tylenol cuz I still had a small fever. Mommy really wants to take me to Lap Sit at the Springdale Library tomorrow but since it's so cold & I still have a fever tonight we probably won't go. Hopefully I'll feel better on Thursday so I can go to baby bookworms in Fayetteville. If not, maybe we'll hit both next week. OOOh, and if Daddy's not working on Thursday, he can go too!

I don't feel good today. Daddy and Mommy were surprised my nose was runny this morning & I was kind of congested when I ate breakfast. I took a good morning nap. When I woke up I was kind of clingy to Mommy but I went ahead and played with some toys on the floor. Mommy fed me some applesauce & oatmeal, not too much, just a little. I still have not been wanting to eat very much lately. But Mommy says I did good. About 30 minutes later Mommy breastfed me and I ate good then too but then I just wanted to snuggle. We sat on the couch and watched a little bit of my Baby Noah Einstein video. I played with Mommy's hand. She took my temperature a few times while we watched. It's a little high but not very. Mommy says that means my body is fighting an infection and the fever is good. That's how my body will kill the bacteria or virus that is making me feel yucko. Mommy thinks our bodies are amazing like that.

This is not a picture of me today. This is a few Sundays ago. Mommy, Daddy & Uncle James were watching a movie. I was playing on the floor (look at all my cool toys!) and before anyone knew it I was out like a light! zzzzzzzzzzzzz just like I am today with my naps....out like a light.......zzzzzzzzzzz

Do you think I look like my Mommy? Mommy's a bit older than I am in this picture. OOH, I should show you what she looked like on her first Christmas! I definitely have more hair than she did.

We go to Church on Sunday mornings. Mommy and Daddy try to let/make me sleep until they leave around 8:30. Then Mommy feeds me and changes me once we get to church. She always puts me in a dress cuz I have so many cute ones.

I just go along for the ride cuz I'm so tired. I mean come on, look at these pictures, do I look thrilled to you?

CHECK OUT MY NEW HAT! It's the most fun hat I have! And I look great in it! My Aunt Melissa gave it to me! Everyone loves it. I've been wearing blue the past couple of days...think I should keep wearing it cuz my Daddy says it makes my eyes look super duper cool.
